This gear guide has been developed for all Scouts as they progress through their scouting career select the proper gear for use. This guide is based on our Scouts and Leaders experience with specific gear and Gear brands. There are many other brands that available on the market and may be equivalent or even better than the ones listed on this page. We have tried to limit our recommendations to gear we have first hand knowledge about its performance. In some instances we may give you specific criteria that you should look for in the selection of the gear without a specific brand recommendation.
The first part of this guide contains information on the gear needed for incoming Scouts. This is a basic list of gear needed to get you started. If you have specific question we have several leaders with great knowledge in gear that would be happy to assist you.
